FAQ
Q1) 0% VAT rate - I am a European customer with a VAT number and require 0% UK VAT rate.
There are two ways for us to apply 0% VAT
Option 1: Sign up to our website here and then send us your email address that you have used to registered with our website. Please also send us your VAT number, company name, company address details. Once we have checked the details are eligible for 0% rate vat, we will then apply the 0% VAT rate to your online account for you to make future orders via our website with the vat charged at 0%.
Option 2: Place the order and pay the VAT, then send us your valid european VAT number via the order notes or via email to sales@ryepac.co.uk - we will refund the VAT and assign 0% VAT to your online account for you to make future orders via our website with the vat charged at 0%.
Q2) Do your product prices include VAT? A2) Yes, All RYE-PAC product prices are shown with and without VAT to help business and non business customers. This change was made on 03/10/2011. Please note that all delivery charges are shown exclusive of VAT.
Q3) How do i make a European order?
A3) European orders: All EU orders can be made via our website just sign up as a member with your address and country details and at the checkout select your country of delivery destination.
Q4) Can anyone purchase from your RYE-PAC website?
A4) Only UK and Europe customers can presently purchase products from us via our website. International orders outside of the EU, have to be processed manually,or emailing us.
Q5) I have forgotten a product when placing my online order, can i add this to my order?
A5) If you have just placed your order and have forgotten to add an item, you can email us at sales@ryepac.co.uk with your name and address and the order details you just placed and the extra items you would like to add to your order and we will create an online invoice for you to make payment for the extra product. PLEASE NOTE IF BY ADDING THE PRODUCT YOU MAY INCUR INCREASED DELIVERY CHARGES IF THE ADDITIONAL PRODUCT INCREASES THE PARCEL NUMBERS TO BE SENT. IF THE EXISTING ORDER HAS ALREADY BEEN DISPATCHED (USUALLY BY 3PM MON - FRI) WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SEND THE EXTRA PRODUCT WITHOUT YOU PAYING A DELIVERY CHARGE.
Q6) I was registered with your old website, why do I need to register with your new website?
A6) Unfortunately, due to the age and platform of our old website we were unable to transfer customer accounts and details to our new website, meaning our customers will have to register with our new website to enjoy all the new benefits the new site has to offer. RYE-PAC appreciates this is a minor inconvenience but thanks you for your support while we go through this transition to the new website.
Q7) How do I get to my account and view previous orders?A7) Log into your RYE-PAC account by clicking on ‘My Account’ at the top of the homepage next to the shopping cart. Once you are logged in, click on ‘Order History’ to view your previous orders.
Q8) I have forgotten my password, how do I retrieve it?
A8) -
1. Click on ‘My Account’ at the top of the homepage next to the shopping cart and click on the ‘Password Reminder’ button
2. Enter your email address that you registered with the website and click on the ‘Continue’ button
3. You have two options: Option one: we will create & send you a new password instantly. Option two: Answer your security question and reset your password (this is the security question you would have set up when you registered with the website)
Q9) Do you have a minimum spend?
A9) no. you can order what you like, plus delivery charge.
Q10) Do you offer free delivery?
A10) Yes, if you are a UK mainland resident who spends over £120 (inc vat) and your parcel weight is under 30kgs, you will receive free delivery. If your order weighs more than 30kgs, you will be required to pay £7.95 per parcel before we can release your order.
Free delivery does not apply to the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland, Southern Ireland, Isle of Man, Europe and all offshore Islands.
Q11) Why do you not have Paypal payment method anymore?
A11) Due to Paypal's increasing charges, we had to remove paypal as a payment option on our website. Our payment method will be Sagepay which is 100% secure.
Q12) Are your Products Food Grade?
A12) The food related products we supply are food grade, for example: cake boxes, cake cases, plastic cake domes, cake drums, cake boards, pizza boxes etc, are manufactured to FDA and EU standards. We make sure all our manufacturers are BRC certified and we run our own processes to make sure our products are of the highest quality. All our staff are Level 2 Food Hygiene for Manufacturing certified. Some products we provide are just packaging products and are not suitable for food contact, for example: laypack tubing, sellotape, packing boxes, carrier bags etc. If you have any questions regarding a product you are unsure of, please contact us at sales@ryepac.co.uk where we will be happy to help with your enquiry.Q13) I think my order has not been processed onto your system or I have received an error code, what should I do?
A13) If you have been having problems when processing your order and you believe your order has not been processed onto our system or you have not received a confirmation, please call our office on 01797 222295. We can check our systems for you and our payment gateway to double check if an order has been processed with payment. In the case that you have received an error code on the website after making a payment, please copy/screenshot this and send it in an e-mail to us at sales@ryepac.co.uk so our developing team can investigate.
